Hi, I am Akhil, a PhD Candidate at the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin! Over the past 10 years, as a critical qualitative researcher, I’ve spent time across technology startups, policy research, corporate research labs, and academia. I have conducted research in organizations across India, the United States and the United Kingdom. In my research, I see myself as a documenter of people’s practices with different technologies. I have written about the technology practices of groups as varied as workers in technology companies, college students in training at universities, activist toolkit makers, and everyday WhatsApp users.
Outside of my research, I love watching live music, exploring single screen cinema theaters, and finding new food trucks to eat at.
